You can place the cookies or other kinds of food sweets randomly and the printer system detects their positions and prints on them directly.
Do you know about vision localization for ink-jet food printer machine? It is a function for printing photos on different kinds of food without any tray and you can put the food sweets anywhere(not fixed location) on the printer’s workign table.
What is Vision Localization in an Ink-Jet Food Printer? It’s the process where a camera system detects:
1. Where the food item is located on the printer’s working table
2. How it is oriented (rotation)
3. Its size/shape or contours
The food printer then aligns the print pattern precisely so the edible ink is deposited in the correct place.
Workflow Example
1. Food item placed on printer’s working table (random orientation OK).
2. Camera captures image.
3. Vision system processes to find contour & rotation.
4. Printer applies a calibration transform (pixel – mm).
5. The print file is transformed and offset to match the detected position.
6. Printer starts ink-jet printing on the corrected coordinates of these different kinds of food sweets.
